„We should all see giving not as an obligation, but as a privilege” - John D. Rockefeller
An emotionally challenging and, at the same time frustrating year, 2024 is coming to an end. Natural disasters, ongoing and new wars, and significant inflation in Europe leave little hope for our society. In business, we all faced the toughest challenges regarding supply chains and production capacity.
We continue to pray for the victims around the world and wish for peace at last, hoping that people will realize that the right path is not against one another but with one another.
During the Christmas season, we especially enjoy spending time with family and friends. The entire holiday season is filled with so much love and a sense of warmth that should ideally spread throughout the world and reach everyone.
This year too, it is important for us to reach out with a pre-Christmas greeting for Advent. It is our company tradition to support various projects instead of giving conventional Christmas gifts.
Maximilian could have been a healthy boy, but his story took a tragically different path. Born with breathing problems, he spent his first years mostly in the intensive care unit, without a diagnosis.
Shortly before his third birthday, his family was advised to turn off the ventilator. But Maximilian surprised everyone: he continued to breathe on his own. Eventually, another hospital discovered a congenital malformation of the trachea, which had been recognized far too late, leading to severe brain damage due to persistent oxygen deprivation and CO2 poisoning.
Max cannot eat or speak, and his mother lovingly cares for his palliative needs.
Since the diagnosis was made only after his third birthday, the family could no longer sue in court, as medical malpractice claims have a three-year statute of limitations.
When Max was four years old, his father left the family. Once a year, he goes with his mother to the seaside in Lignano, where Max is pain- and infection-free, has few seizures, and visibly thrives. The health insurance covers his medical care, but the accommodation costs pose significant financial challenges for his mother each year. For her, it is not a vacation; she cares for Max alone, day and night. She does this for his smile—the sign that this trip gives him strength and joy.
We have now fulfilled Maximilian's heartfelt wish in your name, with the support of the organization 'Licht für Kinder', by financing a seven-week getaway for him and his mother in Lignano.
On behalf of Maximilian, we would like to sincerely thank you and share the beautiful and touching moment of handing over the donation check to him and his mother with you.
We appreciate your loyalty and your ongoing support. This has enabled us to efficiently solve every problem we faced and successfully overcome challenges—in the past, present, and, of course, in the future.
The success story we are writing would be unimaginable without you. We greatly value our good business relationship with you.
We wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year 2025.
